CircaDyn Inc. is an integrity management service company focused specifically on achieving regulatory compliance for the Alberta Oil & Gas Industry’s use of gas fired equipment. CircaDyn’s business model is to aid clients in addressing CSA B149 legislation. Our service offerings starts by working with your company. CircaDyn will formulate a specialized service plan to bring all equipment into compliance.

A requirement to adhere to the above regulations is that all alterations, additions or extensions to gas fired equipment must have a permit and a third party inspection before a service.  Each component on the Burner Management system, which includes: valves, regulators, switches, transmitters, solenoids, igniters, burners, flame scanners, and logic solvers; must be field inspected, CSA certified and installed in accordance to the code.

Prior to the expiration of VAR GAS 05-05, the deadline for compliance was January 1st, 2015.  Given the large inventory within the industry, the Government of Alberta acknowledged in STANDATA Bulletin G-02-14-LEMS, that bringing all equipment into compliance may not have been possible within the proposed timeframe. LEMS became an acceptable alternative to the January 1st, 2015 deadline. Companies that participate in the LEMS program are required to be in compliance under the standard by January 1st, 2020 however, full compliance requires a maintenance and service program such as what is offered by CircaDyn.

With over 160,000 active wells in Alberta, the volume of work required to bring the industry up to code is immense.  This, combined with the time constraints set by the governing body, has created the necessity for a third party company to assist the industry in meeting these demands.

CircaDyn is designed to perform all services including:

  • Initial on-site inspection by certified gasfitter
  • Application and long term maintenance to the LEMS Program
  • Preparation of a remediation plan
  • Necessary equipment servicing maintenance
  • Permit procurement from Alberta Municipal Affairs
